Atlas Implementation follows 3 main phases, and progresses by a series of emails, virtual meetings, and technical training. Most implementations take approximately 1-3 months, though this is flexible depending on each school’s needs. To learn more about Atlas, click here.
Phase 1 Success Planning
We understand that successfully introducing a curriculum process to your faculty entails more than just providing them with another online system. Successful initiatives require a strategic vision, thoughtful messaging, and a clear action plan. So we begin by meeting to discuss your goals, help you develop a plan for faculty engagement, and identify key benchmarks to meet along the way.
During an initial planning meeting, we’ll review your success plan, identify key dates & benchmarks to meet your goals, and help begin crafting your messaging for faculty. These documents will serve as a guide for managing your curriculum process moving forward.
Phase 2 Atlas Site Configuration
Next, we’ll work with you to gather the specific requirements for building an Atlas system that is customized to meet your school’s specific needs. If requested, our Data Services team may also facilitate the import of existing curriculum into Atlas.
To build and customize an Atlas system that best supports your curriculum goals, we’ll help you to gather: school logo & calendar of key dates, custom unit & lesson plan templates, curriculum standards used by each department, assessment methods & types commonly used at your school, and a list of users & courses.
Phase 3 Go Live! Atlas Technical Trainings
Once your Atlas site is complete, your Implementation Specialist will conduct technical trainings to get your team up to speed using your new system. With the purchase of a custom PD Package, you can further engage your faculty with additional training on pedagogy and best practices to enhance your school’s curriculum processes.
Key Technical trainings included (~1 hr each):
- Atlas System Administration: Your school leadership team learns the Admin tools to manage & customize your new system.
- Atlas Navigation: Your faculty or curriculum writing team learns the basics of navigating Atlas and developing curriculum in the system.
*All included training is virtual. Onsite options are available.
What happens after implementation?
As Atlas Implementation comes to an end, we know your curriculum journey is really just beginning! You will be introduced to your Atlas Account Manager and Atlas Support Team to support you moving forward. This team will work to support and empower you in achieving your ongoing curriculum goals, and can assist with strategic planning, site support, and any additional technical training or PD your school may need as you grow your curriculum process.
