For curriculum leaders, teachers, and administrators, maintaining clear alignment between instruction and standards is a critical part of ensuring high-quality teaching and learning. Whether preparing for accreditation, conducting curriculum reviews, or identifying instructional gaps, having access to accurate and actionable data is essential.
To support this important work, we’re pleased to introduce the newly redesigned Standards & Assessments Analysis in Atlas. These enhanced reports now offer a more intuitive layout, expanded filtering options, and deeper insights into how standards are addressed across your curriculum.
Enhancements to Support Informed Decision-Making
The Standards & Assessments Analysis Reports have been reimagined to provide a more streamlined and interactive experience. Users can now analyze standards coverage at both the unit and lesson levels, with flexible tools that make it easier to navigate, customize, and interpret the data.
The refreshed layout anchors each report view around standards, providing a clear and consistent structure. Dynamic sub-rows automatically update based on the selected display option like Strand, Course, Subject, Grade, or School, allowing users to shift perspectives without losing context.
Comprehensive filtering tools make it easy to refine your results. Users can narrow the scope of their analysis by subject area, benchmark level, assessment method, date range, keyword, and more. These flexible filters ensure that the report can answer a wide variety of curriculum questions for targeted analysis.
With expanded data coverage, the report now includes insights from both units and individual lessons, as well as a broader range of assessment methods. This provides a more complete and accurate picture of how standards are being addressed and evaluated throughout the curriculum.
Clickable data points allow you to dive deeper into specific metrics. By selecting a data point, you can instantly generate a filtered view that reveals the underlying curriculum content, enabling more focused analysis without needing to navigate away from the report.
The enhanced detail views give immediate access to additional information about each standard, including contextual details and links to the relevant instructional materials. These views also highlight instances where standards may not be fully covered, helping educators identify potential gaps in instruction.
Finally, the customisable report display offers greater control over how data is presented. You can choose to show or hide empty rows, adjust which columns appear in the table, and toggle between different summary views. This flexibility allows schools to tailor the report to suit specific audiences or reporting purposes.
Together, these enhancements help educators and administrators engage more meaningfully with their curriculum data. The result is a more powerful tool for identifying gaps, evaluating alignment, and supporting continuous improvement.
The Value for Schools and Educators
The Standards Analysis report is one of the most widely used tools in Atlas, particularly during times of curriculum mapping, strategic planning, and accreditation preparation. Schools depend on it to evaluate how well their curriculum aligns with adopted standards and to identify opportunities for improvement.
At Atlas, we value feedback. We know that educators need clearer views, easier navigation, and more relevant information. Our goal is to empower them with actionable data. Data that are robust, but also accessible, flexible, and tailored to real instructional needs. New Standards Analysis makes it easier to:
- Monitor alignment across subjects, grade levels, and schools.
- Identify gaps in instruction or assessment.
- Visualize patterns and trends to support evidence-based planning.
- Generate reports that clearly communicate curriculum strengths and areas for development.
Ultimately, this redesign supports schools in making more informed, strategic decisions that improve teaching and learning outcomes.
