We’re excited to share the latest Atlas updates, thoughtfully designed to give educators more control, flexibility, and clarity in their lesson planning workflows. These enhancements focus on privacy, customization, and usability, especially for large districts and collaborative teams managing lessons at scale.
From tighter viewing permissions to smarter print options and expanded lesson details, these changes are all about helping the right information reach the right people at the right time.
New Lesson Viewing Privileges
To provide finer control over who sees lesson content, we’ve introduced a new viewing permission level: Only Lesson Editors can see Lessons. This allows System Administrators to choose from three different Lesson Viewing options for greater control and customization.
System Admins can now manage all three lesson viewing permission levels directly from the Admin -> Manage Lesson Settings page. To make these options easier to understand and configure, we’ve added clear hover-over text that explains each permission level at a glance. This update is particularly valuable for large districts where teachers across multiple buildings contribute to the same courses, helping teams collaborate with confidence while maintaining appropriate boundaries around visibility.
“Additional Details” Field for Lessons
We’ve added a new, customizable Additional Details field to the lesson planner, giving educators more flexibility in how lesson information is structured and shared. System Admins can enable and configure this field from the Manage Lesson Templates page, including renaming both Lesson Details and Additional Details or creating custom lesson templates that align with school-specific terminology.
This field was designed to support use cases such as sharing public lesson links for students or families while keeping professional notes private for educators. While that was our original intent, the flexibility of this field opens up many additional possibilities, allowing educators to adapt lesson planning to their unique workflows and communication needs.
Refined Weekly Lesson Print / PDF Export
Create cleaner, more purposeful lesson printouts with our newly enhanced Weekly Lesson printing feature. Educators can now choose the format that aligns with how they plan: the Weekly Lesson View is designed for quick, day-by-day outlines, while the trusted Single Lesson View supports full-week planning and lessons with larger tables or more in-depth content.
You also have complete control over what makes it onto the page. Choose exactly which sections to include in your print or PDF export, so every document is focused and free of unnecessary clutter. Whether you’re planning independently, collaborating with colleagues, or preparing materials for administrative review, your printouts now adapt to your needs.

Clearer Standards Selection, Faster Planning
We’ve made unit planning more intuitive by updating the standards button to a clear, action-driven “Choose Standards” label. This small change delivers big clarity, allowing educators instantly know what to do next, reducing friction and speeding up the planning process.
Seamless Sync Between Analytics
Switching between Standards Analysis and Assessment Analysis just got smoother. Your selected filters now stay perfectly in sync, so there’s no need to re-select or repeat steps. The result? Less busywork, fewer clicks, and more time focused on meaningful instructional decisions.
Modernized Performance with Vue3 Updates
Behind the scenes, we’re upgrading key pages to Vue3 as a best practice for performance and scalability. Recent updates include the Super Admin page, Admin Standards Status page, and additional components. These improvements mean a faster and more reliable experience today, as well as a stronger foundation for exciting future enhancement.
