Public School Accreditation with the QSAC Monitoring Process
QSAC stands for the Quality Single Accountability Continuum. QSAC “is the New Jersey Department of Education’s monitoring and district self-evaluation system for public school districts…The system focuses on monitoring and evaluating school districts in five key components that, based on research, have been identified to be key factors in effective school districts. These components are Instruction & Program, Fiscal, Governance, Operations and Personnel.”
In the infographic below, see how the team behind Atlas helped design one school’s unit planner template for their Instruction & Program component of the QSAC monitoring process! You can also download the infographic here.
Atlas helps schools satisfy QSAC accreditation requirements. With flexible templates and a variety of categories and pre-filled menu options, the online platform supports curriculum leaders in designing curriculum guides that are meaningful to teachers while ensuring compliance with QSAC curriculum requirements.
Matawan-Aberdeen Regional School District customized Atlas to ensure that each indicator required for the QSAC curriculum guides, as specified in the Instruction & Program domain of the QSAC, was addressed. Not only did the template ensure curriculum was in line with the prescribed requirements, the centralization of curriculum within Atlas also ensured that the overall school accreditation process ran smoothly and allowed the New Jersey DOE to easily view and analyze Matawan Aberdeen’s curriculum.
We outline their template below and how it satisfies QSAC curriculum expectations and requirements.
